Pine Cone Crafts For Kids

Fall is a nice time to go on a nature hike in the woods with your kids and collect a few treasures.  While picking up some favorite natural souvenirs, make sure to bring home a good bunch of pine cones.

When you see all of the pine cone crafts that you can create, you will know why you need a bunch!  Kids will enjoy the process of collecting their pine cones and then turning them into one of these fun projects.  Another win-win idea I think!  Plus, these crafts are also budget friendly since you are borrowing the majority from nature.

This is a round-up of my favorite pine cone crafts for kids.  You can get to all of the full tutorials by simply clicking on the photos.

1.  Pine Cone Squirrel by Family Crafts.

I love the idea of taking something from nature, like a pine cone, and creating something else seen in nature, like a squirrel!  This little guy will look cute proudly displayed in a child's room on a shelf or dresser.

2.  Pine cone snowman by Kaboose.

When the snow falls, this craft will be fun to do to bring a little wintry fun inside.

3.  Pine cone birds by Parents.

Oh my!  These are so cute and so easy!  I just love the big eyes on these little pine cone birds.

4.  Christmas pine forest by Let's Go Fly A Kite.

All that is needed for a whole forest of Christmas trees are some pine cones, pom poms and wine corks.  A snowy base and an added deer makes a perfect Christmas setting for a kids table.

5.  Pine cone pumpkin by Craft Elf.

And, for Halloween, a pine cone pumpkin made from a pine cone and pipe cleaners.

Happy Crafting!
